Hey guys welcome back to my channel now If you don't know this is my actual home Kitchen this is not a studio kitchen and I share recipes or whatever I'm cooking For my family so they might not be kind Of trends that are you know doing the Rounds of social media or YouTube they Are literally food that I cook for my Family which is why I love doing this Channel so much so if you haven't Subscribed yes then please do subscribe And hit the Bell button so you get a Notification every time I share a new Recipe but today's recipe has to be a Quick one because uh kids are coming Back from school any minute now and they Have got some clubs after that so they Need a meal before that so I just Finished work and I thought I will make Some lovely cheesy parathas not just any Parathas but like a carom seed turmeric Paratha filled with paneer and cheddar So so delicious so let's get cooking Going to start with some chapati flowers So I have got here 500 grams of chapati Flour it's a very simple recipe if you Want to just take half the quantities I'm adding one teaspoon of salt half a Teaspoon of carom seeds half a teaspoon Of chili powder half a teaspoon of Turmeric powder and just give it a good Mix and then we can start adding the Water and I like always I've taken 400 ML of water here it's just a plain tap
Water and like I always suggest that you Add little at a time especially for kind Of flat Breads and you can just stop When you think you've got a nice soft Dough because You can add a bit more but you can't Take it out of the dough so it's best to Add little at a time and once you have Got a nice soft dough just knead it for A few seconds you don't don't have to Knead it for a very long time just maybe A total of 30 40 seconds is enough until It's smooth and then the key is to cover And let it rest because it's really Important if you are able to leave it to Rest whether it's 5 minutes 10 minutes Or preferably half an hour meanwhile I'm Going to prepare the filling so I have Got here one onion you can use red or White or shallots if that's what you Have and also got a couple of garlic Cloves now a nice way to chop it is if You just cut the head off and Bash it on The garlic the skin just literally falls Off so that's quite a easy way Of peeling the garlic and I've got Onions garlic a handful of fresh Coriander leaves and a really spicy Small green chili and I have just Chopped it all up finely and I'm gonna Add two 25 grams of paneer I'm using Shopbot you can make it at home recipe Is on my uh YouTube channel and this one Is so soft it just crumbles up and to
This I'm adding 100 grams of cheddar Cheese which is also grated and all That's left to do is mix it all up Properly and then we can start rolling Uh the parathas so the dough has rested For half an hour so it just kind of Becomes loose and it's easier to roll The chapatis or parathas Once the dough Has rested so I am today cooking for Around six seven people Which is why the quantities are slightly More than normal so just take a kind of A small portion and make sure that you Roll it into just some flour because it Stops it from sticking and once you have A good Palm size big circle then we can Fill it with our lovely paneer filling And slowly pinch the sides and make sure That you seal it really really well so That the stuffing doesn't come out and Once we have done that I'm Gonna Roll it In some flour again Because it does get a bit sticky and Then just make sure that you press it Properly so it's kind of compact inside And after that I'm just gonna roll it Into A big circle and meanwhile I have got a Nice pan heating up on the Hub while I'm Rolling this so what once I've rolled This I will place it directly on the hob And Just let it cook for a minute or two and Then turn it over and then let the other
Side cook as well before we add any oil So you can make this in ghee which will Be amazingly delicious I'm preparing all Of them one by one rolling it all up or You can add some oil of your choice cook It with some oil I am using oil today I Really need to stock up on on that ghee Homemade so I must do it this weekend Right so I am just cooking it in some Oil again a minute or two on each side Basically you have to judge it whether It's really nice and golden and if it's Done it's crispy you can see that the Dough is cooked and that's when you know That your Paratha is ready so I am going To cook them all One at a time if you want to speed Things up you can put and use two pans And uh yeah I it's best if you have Guests here or you're cooking for family And if they are waiting then this is Really amazing uh nice and piping hot And otherwise there are different ways To serve it as well so I am just cooking That and just using the spoon to make Sure that I can press on the Paratha and Make sure that all the surface the whole Surface is cooked thoroughly And here they are Lovely looking parathas absolutely So stunning so I've let it rest for a Few minutes because while the time I was Cooking the others have slightly cooled Down which is much easier for me to tear
Them apart and look at that lovely Filling You can see the onions and the paneer And cheese just Trying to be part of that baranta Absolutely stunning It smells so good but quite importantly It pretty as well with the lovely Turmeric and I can smell the carom seeds And the paneer Paneer onion and you know whatever has Gone in it so Um there is the Paratha and Why I love this is It's a quick meal Uh it is great for lunch or dinner it's Great for breakfast as well because in India we eat parathas a lot of the times For breakfast in the north And it is really good for picnics for Pack lunches they are fine hot they're Fine at room temperature so you can make It and then eat it five hours later at a Picnic or change any or whatever it's Good it's a great meal for any time It's not got many ingredients but All right Chase everything You know what I did miss can you guess What I missed putting in this I didn't put any salt in the paneer Filling Totally forgot but they sold in the Flour so it's all right and there's Cheese which has got salt in it but Um I would say add a bit
Of salt like a half a teaspoon into the Paneer mixture and enjoy it with yogurt On its own some pickle but whatever you Do don't forget to try leave me a Comment and I'll see you back very soon With a brand new recipe bye for now Simple and fantastic Foreign
