Ingredients list:
3 inch Ginger
3 Onions
3.5 cups Boiling Water
Add above mixture to water
Bring to boil and add 3.5 cups of ground rice flour
Let the dough rest and cool down before rolling out and cutting the pastry.
Deep fry in hot vegetable or sunflower oil until golden and crispy.

Welcome everybody to another episode of Latifs inspired today I'm going to be Making a lovely little Bangladeshi Pastry so this is all you need ground Rice flour a little bit of plain rice Flour some onions and some ginger I'll Show you the process the salt and Turmeric So this is a very special little recipe We normally make it for Eid day Or special occasions a lovely little Pastry we just fry it in the oil so this Is my mom's recipe I really enjoy it so I thought you know what I'm going to Share it with you Foreign So this is three cups of rice flour About three inch cubed Ginger Three small sized onion Um It's a really simple recipe but very Tasty Blender right there [Music] So add a bit of water so it Blends the Ginger properly There you go blend it up The ginger and now my mom's going to add The onions So we're gonna Blitz that up There you go once it's nice and fine Just like that now that's ready so that Was just basically Ginger onion with a Bit of water and that's your paste done
So now we're just gonna boil some water Like Foreign Right we're just going to get this Mixture to a boil so just some turmeric Going in yeah So one teaspoon of turmeric going in Now we're going to add some salt yes So that was two teaspoon of salt one Teaspoon of turmeric Three onions some ginger And about four cups of water I'm just Gonna bring this to a boil Um So when this comes to a boil that's when We're gonna add the rice flour We've added hot boiling water from the Kettle to Quicken up the process Wonderful [Applause] You see So to fry I'm going to Tracer right so To fry the pastry we just added three Cups of just vegetable sunflower oil Now our paste is come to a boil and now My mom's going to add the ground rice Flour Three cups Now when you use the ground rice You get proper crispy pastry which I'm Looking for So we're not going to turn the oil on Now when we're ready and made the pastry That's what we're gonna fry we're just
Getting the oil and I think everything Ready Careful this can spit at you and burn Your skin But if I knew you wouldn't I love them So we just needed to add another half a Cup off the ground rice flour Beautiful I see it really simple just need to cook The rice flour so nice and soft Just like this Is So basically just warm up the boiling Oil we use boiling water and just get That rawness away from the onions and Ginger and then we just put in the rice Flour and now So turn the gas off let this cool down And we're going to form the pastries Still steaming away so be very careful Gonna form the pastry now Be careful the dough is very hot So ideally let it cool down There you go my mom's formed the dough Now put a bit of plain flour for the Surface so the dough don't stick [Music] Salt to taste guys before you do this Process you could just add a little bit More I think it's fine [Music] Get yourself some pastry Cutters we've Got a circle one heart one and another
Floral one Heart Holy Foreign So do the same process They're all your pastry is cut out And then it'll be ready for the frying Ground rice flour a bit of Ginger bit of Onion bit of salt bit of turmeric [Music] Put it into hot water Form a dough Roll it out cut it out and deep fry Really simple anybody can make this My mom's recipe is so simple but it's so Crispy and delicious I thought I'm going To put this on the channel and since It's mothering Sunday Beautiful Water In it There's a video [Music] So when the oil is heated up just be Carefully Put the pastry into the hot oil So it puffs up one side start up Beautiful [Music] When it becomes nice and golden that's When it's ready so a few minutes in the Hot oil Get yourself a plate with some kitchen Towel Um Foreign
